Las Dunas is a recent (2002) development of elegant Townhouses-75 yards from the beach, with a magnificent swimming pool, spacious lawns with Palm trees and is approached from the elegant Almaida del Mar - the Central Avenue of the very exclusive Bahia de Marbella area, 2km East of Marbella. Unlike so many areas of the Costa del Sol, building work in this immediate area has finished, so early mornings echo to the sounds of birds - not bulldozers!
The roof terrace overlooks the pool, and gives a view of the sea and the mountains. On the roof terrace is a Bar-B-Que and loungers. What better way to enjoy this superb area, than dining on your own large terrace, or enjoying a leisurely sun-downer looking at “La Concha” and the other spectacular mountains behind Marbella, or in the other direction Gibraltar and the North African coast.
For families & young children- Las Dunas is a delight, as the pool has a lifeguard, (June-Sept) with ample grass areas for children to play on. The enclosed community means they cannot “wander” off the complex easily. There is, in addition, 24 hour security.
The house has two large Double bedrooms,and one twin bedded room - the master bedroom has en-suite facilities with double basins, bath/shower, bidet and WC. The other two bedrooms, both with charming Juliet balconies overlooking the pool and grounds, share a spacious bathroom with shower, bath, WC and bidet and is supplied with bed linen and bath towels, (please bring your own pool and beach towels). Air-conditioning/heating is provided throughout the house.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with Microwave, Fridge-Freezer, Hob (Range-top), Dishwasher, Washing Machine, ample cupboards with crockery, cutlery and glasses provided. The lounge is fully equipped with TV, Radio, DVD, SKY Satellite Television, a fireplace, luxurious dining table with six chairs, plus superb sofa and chairs. An enclosed garden and terrace, reached by large sliding doors from the lounge, is perfect for a quiet alfresco meal.
The beach at Los Monteros (this area of Marbella) is a superb Sandy beach a few steps from your front door, with wonderful safe bathing. You do not have to cross any roads to get to the beach here! The warm shallow sea is perfect for children. There are numerous “chiringuitos” (beach restaurants) and bars within walking distance along the beach in both directions. If you stroll to Marbella along the beach it will take around 45 minutes - normally longer, as you will pass some bars along the way, (and walking is thirsty work!) If you take a taxi back from Marbella expect to pay around 9 Euros.
Whatever sport you wish is available close by Las Dunas. Championship Golf Courses abound, (there are three (Santa Clara, Rio Real and Marbella Golf Club) almost within walking distance) Kite surfing is often seen on breezy days off the beach. There is Water skiing, Windsurfing, Scuba diving - all in the area, and in the winter (November to Mid-April) snow skiing 2 hours away near to Granada. (It is possible in Spring to snow ski in the morning & water ski in the sea in the afternoon.) A car here is highly recommended, and there is an underground garage, for 2 cars, with direct access to the house, from your own garage. We can arrange Car Hire, Transfers, (Malaga Airport 30 minutes) High Chairs, Baby Cots, Welcome Essential packs (milk, bread etc) and you will always be met on arrival at Las Dunas by one of us.
